Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1756-L72EROMS is an Armor GuardLogix controller. It comes with 2 channels, a 4 MB standard memory, 0.98 MB I/O memory, and a 2 MB safety memory, allowing standard and safety communication options on EtherNet/IP networks. This controller has a maximum analog I/O of 4000 and maximum digital I/O and total I/O of 128,000 each. The 1756-L72EROMS also comes with an additional 1 GB SD card memory already installed to the controller, but you can upgrade it to 2 GB.

Up to 256 EtherNet/IP and 128 TCP network connections per network module can be supported by this controller. Note that the 1756-L72EROMS controller does not have controller redundancy. Programming languages available are structured text, sequential function chart (SFC), relay ladder logic (RLL), safety task that supports only RLL and the additional safety application instructions, and function block diagram. This controller has 1 Ethernet RJ45 Category 5 port and 1 full speed USB port. The 1756-L72EROMS measures 9.4 x 11.5 x 6.5 inches, weighs 7.15 kg or 15.725 lbs, and has a UL Type 4/4x enclosure type.

The nominal input voltage of this controller is 24V DC and its input voltage ranges from 18-32V DC. Continuous isolation voltage is 30V, which is of a basic insulation type. This isolation has been type-tested at 707V DC for 60 seconds and is from power to enclosure, non-redundant Ethernet channels to non-redundant Ethernet channels, and Ethernet channels to power, but there is no isolation between redundant Ethernet channels. This controller has a non-replaceable fuse that has been soldered into place to guard against fire hazards due to short circuit conditions.
