The 2711P-T7C22D9P is a 6.5-inch, Colored Thin Film Transistor (TFT) screen. With this screen size, this performance terminal is ideally used for simple and small applications as it only has a viewing area of 132 x 99 mm or 5.2 x 3.9 inches and display resolution of 640 x 480 SVGA, 18-Bit and supports. It supports 18-bit color graphics, allowing it to display static and dynamic graphics with color coded design. This enables a higher level of information, contributing to a more efficient and accurate control. With the touch input interface, the operator is provided with a comfortable input interface as the touchscreen mechanism permits direct interaction to runtime objects without the need of referencing external keypads. It is ideal to operate the touchscreen interface with an actuating force of 100 g using a gloved finger or stylus.

Being a performance terminal, the 2711P-T7C22D9P is equipped with Two (2) Ethernet interfaces, supporting Linear, Device Level Ring (DLR) and Star topologies. This is primarily used to communicate and integrate data residing in automation devices’ memory. This performance terminal is compatible for communicating with Allen-Bradley Logix controllers as well as the older controllers such as SLC500 and MicroLogix. These ports may also be used to integrate the HMI as part of plant-level and enterprise automation component. It supports 10/100 Mbps transmission speed with auto-negotiation capability and may be extended using a repeater device or a media converter device.
