The 3500 Power Supplies are half-height modules and must be installed in the specially designed slots on the left side of the rack. The 3500 rack can contain one or two power supplies (any combination of ac and/or dc) and either supply can power a full rack. If installed, the second supply acts as a backup for the primary supply. When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the supply in the lower slot acts as the primary supply and the supply in the upper slot acts as the backup supply. Removing or inserting either power supply module will not disrupt operation of the rack as long as a second power supply is installed.
The 3500 Power Supplies accept a wide range of input voltages and converts them to voltages acceptable for use by other 3500 modules. Three Power Supply versions are available with the 3500 Series Machinery Protection System as follows:

 High Voltage DC Power Supply
 Low Voltage DC Power Supply

Analog signal, there are two, voltage or current signal, is generally the signal transmitted by the transmitter, such as the pressure transmitter to detect the water pipe pressure, it will output an analog signal 4- 20ma or 0-10V signal to PLC, PLC for data processing.

Analog input point (AI), processing analog input signal (0-20 MADc,0-5VDC).

Resistance signal (including thermal resistance) input point, processing thermal resistance or general resistance signal.

There is also communication, used to exchange data with the upper computer or control the subordinate controller instrument driver

1.2 Difference between digital and analog input modules
According to the difference of field input signal, input module can be divided into switching input module and analog input module.

The function of switching input module is to convert various switching signals into TTL standard signals required by CPU. According to the input power supply type, it can also be DC input module and AC input module. The input signal is converted into TTL (5V) standard signal by photoelectric coupling after voltage division, current limiting and filtering.
