Product Description
The GE Multilin 469 series model “469-P1-HI-A20-E-H” is an enhanced relay specifically designed to protect and control medium to large motor systems. This relay is unique in most models because it offers an optional conformal coating; This thin polymer layer helps protect the equipment from dust, high temperatures, etc., thus extending the service life of the motor, especially in hazardous working environments.
The “P1” in the “469-P1-HI-A20-E-H” model indicates that the relay is compatible with the 1A phase current transformer (CT) secondary, in contrast to the “P5” model (compatible with the 5A phase CT secondary). Users should ensure that the nominal phase current ratings correspond to the connection and secondary ratings of all connected CTS, otherwise mismatched CTS may cause damage to the system over time and undoubtedly lead to diminished protection, even if such damage is not immediately apparent.

In addition, the relay has a self-test function that assesses motor health and provides configurable alarms to alert users if there is a rotor problem. This early detection system helps reduce troubleshooting time as well as reduce downtime. With GE Multilin’s EnerVista 469 program, you can more efficiently view indicators related to motor health without having to manually navigate through the relay’s keyboard menu.
Series 469 relays provide comprehensive motor protection and control functions, including but not limited to overload, underload, single phase, ground fault, asymmetric load protection, and current, voltage, power, power factor monitoring. It is suitable for many types of motors and applications, including industrial motors, pump motors, fan motors and compressor motors, and is widely used in the oil and gas, power, water treatment, metallurgy and chemical industries.
APPLICATION
The product’s user interface includes an RS232 port for direct connection to a laptop running EnerVista 469, a redesigned keyboard for setup point input and editing, an expanded 40-character LCD display, and LED lights to indicate various states in the system. In addition, the relay has a variety of communication interfaces, including RS-485 and Modbus protocols, making it easy to integrate into existing monitoring and control systems.
In terms of technical specifications, the 469-P1-HI-A20-E-H has an operating temperature range of -40 to 70°C, operating humidity of 5% to 95%RH (non-condensing), and protection classes of IP40 (front) and IP20 (back).
