DisplayPort (Internal to external transfers) increases its transfer rate from 8 Gbit/sec to 25 Gbit/sec, and DP 2.0 increases rates to more than 80Gbit/sec;
HDMI2.0 (External Transfer) increases transfer rates to 20Gbit/sec;
Thunderbolt3 (External Transmission) uses two transmission lines to deliver a transfer rate of 20 Gbit/sec.
Mainstream interfaces between devices include DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort (DP), USB, and Thunderbolt, which correspond to different data transmission protocols.
