A Combo interface corresponds to one GE electrical interface and one GE optical interface on the device panel, and has only one internal forwarding interface. The electrical interface and its corresponding optical interface are photoelectric multiplexed and cannot work at the same time. (For example, when an optical interface is activated, the corresponding electrical interface is automatically disabled.) You can select the electrical interface or optical interface based on the peer interface type. The electrical and optical interfaces share the same interface view. To activate an electrical or optical interface and configure its properties (such as rate and duplex mode), you only need to configure the properties in the same interface view. For example, Part 3 of the panel shown in the following figure consists of eight Combo interfaces. One Combo interface consists of an electrical interface and one optical interface. The electrical and optical interfaces share the same interface view and cannot work at the same time.
