Compared with the DC servo motor, AC servo motor has the characteristics of maintenance-free, low loss and small size, which has gradually replaced the DC motor in the modern control field. Ac servo motor is widely used in various control fields. FANUC has gradually used AC motor since the 1980s. From the development and application to the widely used Alpha series motor, it has been updated for three generations, from the simulated AC control unit driven servo motor to the S-series motor, and then developed into the AC Alpha series servo motor in use now. The performance of the servo motor has been improved, and the volume of the motor is smaller. In particular, the Alpha series of Hoi motor is now used, the motor model is more complete, and the use of stronger magnetic materials, servo motor feedback uses high-speed and high-precision serial position encoder, which can be applied to a variety of different lead screws without the need to select the number of lines of the encoder, and the series has standard series, small inertia series, medium inertia series, medium inertia series. (1) The structure of the AC motor
At present, the AC servo motor used in the control field is generally synchronous motor (brushless DC motor), the motor is mainly composed of three parts, namely: stator, rotor, and detection components, of which the stator is basically the same as the ordinary AC induction motor, mainly the stator stamping, three-phase winding coil, in addition to the front and back end caps and bearings of the impact rotor, etc. The rotor of the servo motor is mainly composed of multi-pole magnetic steel, stator punch and motor shaft, and the detection component is composed of a position encoder installed at the end of the motor. At present, the encoder of the Alpha series motor uses a Shen-line pulse encoder, because the motor’s excitation must be perpendicular to the pole position of the rotor. Therefore, the position feedback of the machine should be able to feedback the magnetic pole position of the motor to the servo system to generate vector control of the excitation of the AC servo motor.
