Controller based architecture
The PacDrive C200 Controller is the smallest controller solution that uses the real-timeoperating system VxWorks. VxWorks provides logic and motion functions for a pro-duction or packaging machine. A PacDrive Controller synchronizes, coordinates andgenerates the positioning functions for up to 8 servo drives, which are connected viathe SERCOS bus interface.
Several standardized field bus interfaces are available: PROFIBUS DP, CAN, CAN.open or DeviceNet. A variety of standard HMl systems, ranging from low-cost textdisplays to industrial PCs, can be used for the HMl functions.The highlights:

This developmentsubstantially changes and highly simplifies the classical mechanicalmachine concept. The structure of the packaging machine can bebroken down into modules that are easy to apply and can bestandardized.
