Product Description

The GE DC Power Connect Board DS200PCCAG9ACB was designed by General Electric to work with the Mark V DS200 series and serves as an interface between the drive and the SCR power bridge. The DS200PCCAG9ACB board contains multiple connectors that supply power and control signals that transmit and receive information to the drive. A critical task in the replacement procedure is to remove the cables from the board and reconnect them on the replacement board.

The first requirement in replacing the DS200PCCAG9ACB  model is that you remove all power to the drive. A power supply that delivers the specified current is connected to the drive and can be easily removed to off the current. All boards in the drive are secured on a board rack that enables you to move the front boards aside and access the boards behind them.

Take the time to examine the cables and label them with the connector they connect to on the board. You can include other important information on the label. For example, the signal the cable carries or the cable type. There is no need to completely remove the cables from the drive. If the other end is connected in the drive, or another board, you can leave it attached. However, if you plan to replace the cable or the cable is no longer needed, you can remove it. The replacement board might have the connectors located in different locations, or the connectors might be missing because of a design change.

There are several group revisions in relation to the PCCA model. The DS200PCCAG9ACB model is part of group nine, which operates on 630 volts in a regenerative state. More information on the differences between the grouping can be found in the GEH-6005 manual.
