The IC660BRD021 I/O block is a GE Fanuc 24 or 48 Volts DC rated sink I/O block. The applications for the IC660BRD021 I/O block include use with solid-state and electromechanical type sensors. The IC660BRD021 I/O block is a 16-circuit I/O block. With a 24 Volts DC power supply, the input turns on when the voltage is between 0 and 8 Volts DC and it turns off when voltage is between 17 and 24 Volts DC. With a 48 Volts DC power supply, the input turns on when voltage is between 0 and 16 Volts DC and turns off when the voltage is between 34 and 48 Volts DC. The typical input impedance is 5.6 kiloohms for 24 and 48 Volts DC and 1.8 kiloohms for just 24 Volts DC. The typical input processing time is 1.7 milliseconds plus the selectable filter delay time.

The IC660BRD021 I/O block supports multiple input diagnostics, including open wire, overtemperature, and failed switch diagnostics. The IC660BRD021 I/O block has 16 circuits, and each circuit can be configured as an output, as in input, or as a tristate input. The control power comes from the I/O devices that are wired to the terminals. A separate power block is not required. The recommended storage and operating temperature ranges are -40 to 100 degrees Celsius and 0 to 60 degrees Celsius, respectively. The vibration rating for the IC660BRD021 I/O block is 5 to 10 Hertz or 10 to 200 Hertz. The IC660BRD021 I/O block is compatible with any hand-held monitor. The IC660BRD021 I/O block is open equipment and it needs to be installed inside a protective enclosure. The area where the block is installed should be clear of airborne contaminants.
