Essential details:IC687BEM713 GE Rx7i series bus expansion module

The IC687BEM713 module is a GE Fanuc Rx7i series bus expansion module. More specifically, the IC687BEM713 module is a bus transmitter module, and this bus transmitter module is an essential component in GE Fanuc FIP redundant systems. A complete GE FIP redundant system contains 2 bus transmitter modules like the IC687BEM713 bus transmitter module. These modules are installed in the system’s dual backplane redundancy rack. The IC687BEM713 bus transmitter module only needs 1 VME slot for installation. Additionally, it is easy to configure this module into a PLC system with software and it does not have any DIP switches that need to be set. This module also supports a parallel programmer interface which is a high-performance interface. It requires 1.4 Amps of current from the 5 Volts Bus to operate.

IC687BEM713 GE Rx7i series bus expansion module

The GE Fanuc IC687BEM713 Rx7i series bus transmitter module is meant to be connected to an RCM or redundancy communications module to support redundancy communications in the FIP redundant system. The IC687BEM713 module is installed on 1 half of the 2-section redundancy rack while the redundancy communications module is installed on the other half. Note that each half of this 2-section redundancy rack needs to have its own bus transmitter module and its own redundancy communications module. The IC687BEM713 bus transmitter module comes with 2 built-in connectors. It uses the top connector to connect to a programming device and it uses the bottom connector to connect to the redundancy communications module. It has a mechanical key which ensures that it is installed in the correct slot in a system and prevents other modules from being installed in its designated slot.
