Essential details:IC694PWR331 GE power supply module

The IC694PWR331 power supply module from GE Fanuc has been designed and manufactured to be a high-capacity power supply for the GE RX3i PacSystems series PLCs. It is a serial expansion module that works with every CPU manufactured by GE in the RX3i series. It is meant to be installed in the PLC’s serial expansion backplane after the power to the backplane has been disconnected. The IC694PWR331 high-capacity power supply module’s current rating is 5 Amps. The fuses that it can accommodate for protection include the Bussman GMC-5-R fuse and the 44A724627-114 fuse. Before installing this high-capacity power supply, the technicians must make sure that the expansion backplane’s rack number selection DIP switch has been set to the proper position.

IC694PWR331 GE power supply module

The GE Fanuc IC694PWR331 high-capacity power supply module has a load capacity of 30 Watts maximum. It has 3 outputs that consist of a 5 Volts DC output, a 24 Volts DC isolated output, and a 24 Volts DC relay output. The highest loads it can handle at these output voltage levels are 30 Watts at 5 Volts DC, 20 Watts at 24 Volts DC isolated voltage, and 15 Watts at 24 Volts DC relay voltage. The conductors used with the IC694PWR331 power supply module must be copper conductors that are rated for 75 degrees Celsius. This module has 3 green LEDs that are the “PWR” LED, the “OK” LED, and the “RUN” LED. The “PWR” LED shows whether the power supply module is turned on and has power applied to it or not. The “OK” LED shows whether the PLC is properly operating or not, and the “RUN” LED indicates that the PLC is operating in its run mode.
