3. Function description
The IS220PRTDH1A is a resistance temperature device input module manufactured and designed by General Electric as part of the Mark VIe family used in distributed control systems.
The RTD input terminal board and one or more I/O Ethernet cables are electrically connected via a Resistance Temperature Device (RTD) input (PRTD) packet.
Included in the package is a capture board dedicated to thermocouple input functions, and a processor board shared by all Mark VIe distributed I/O packages.
The I/O packet supports up to 8 RTD inputs, and the TRTD terminal board supports up to 16 RTD inputs.
Four, interface and connection
Inputs use a DC-37 pin connector connected directly to the battery pack terminal board connector and a three-pin power input.
There are two RJ45 Ethernet connectors for output.
Five, LED indicator light
The front panel includes LED indicators for the I/O unit’s two Ethernet ports, as well as power and ATTN LED indicators.
6. Special applications
Approved for use in hazardous places when used with a specific terminal board such as IS200TRTDH2D, IS200SRTDH1A or IS200SRTDH2A.
Only resistive simple devices like RTDS can be connected to the RTD input on the IS220PRTDH1A.
