The MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor is a servo motor manufactured by Allen-Bradley. The motor is suitable for use in packaging, material handling, automotive, converting, and electronic assembly applications. Some characteristic features of the MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor include low rotor inertia and a Hiperface encoder protocol. The motor has a rated speed of 2000 revolutions per minute. For feedback, the motor has an absolute multi-turn high-resolution encoder. This encoder provides 1024 sin/cos cycles per revolution for up to 21-bit resolution (2,097,152 counts per revolution). Note that the multi-turn high-resolution encoder is capable of ensuring high-resolution absolute position feedback within 4096 turns without the help of a battery.

The MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor has a magnet stack length of 152.4 millimeters and a frame size of 265 millimeters. The motor has rotatable SpeedTec connectors that are used to interface the motor with the power source and the controller. Although the connectors are rotatable, no more rotation should occur after cables have been connected. The MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor is an Allen-Bradley low inertia motor in the MPL series. Motors in this series are designed to be operated in a factory environment with a minimum ambient temperature of 0 degrees Celsius and a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Additionally, when not in use, the MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor should be stored in an environment that has a surrounding temperature ranging from -30 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius. Note that the MPL-B860D-MJ74AA servo motor is not suitable for use in an environment that is prone to corrosive substances. The motor has a 24 Volts DC holding brake.
