Featured with 2 Simultaneously Sampled Channels, the National Instruments PCI-5154 (Part Numbers: 780320-01780320-02, and 780320-03) is an 8-bit, 1 GHz Bandwidth, PCI Oscilloscope Device. Each of the two channels on this device can acquire samples independently at a rate around 2 GS/s. These analog input channels are designed to operate at 50 Ω input impedance and support AC, DC, and GND input coupling. The NI PCI-5154 offers a resolution of 8 bits, while the DC accuracy at 0.1 V to 1 V input range remains around ±1.0% of input + 1.3% of FS. This device comes equipped with a 20 MHz noise filter as a bandwidth limit filter and has a typical rise/fall time of 428 ps.

The National Instruments PCI-5154 features an integrated onboard clock (Internal VCSO). This clock has a broad, i.e., 15.26 kS/s to 1 GS/s real-time sampling range. This model can acquire samples within a range of 2 GS/s to 20 GS/s while operating in random interleaved sampling mode. The front panel SMB connector (PFI 0) of this device can provide connection to an external sample clock. The 780320-01 can be plugged into any compatible PCI slot. Thus, the instrument does not require a PXI chassis to become operational.

The National Instruments PCI-5154 is a lightweight and compact device with all connectors mounted on the front panel. This oscilloscope device is offered with 8 MB onboard memory, capable of handling up to 32,768 records. Another brilliant feature of the NI PCI 5154 is its self-calibration capability. The calibration corrects for offset, timing errors, gain, triggering, etc.
