The 32 digital input/output lines offered by this device are divided as four 8-bit ports. For handshaking or pattern I/O, these ports can be used in configurations of two 8-bits or two 16-bit groups or one 32-bit group. The channels have a maximum rate of up to 2 MHz for pattern I/O, and voltage levels of 5 V TTL/CMOS. The digital transmission on PCI DIO-32HS is managed by a single 68-pin male SCSI-II cable connector. Moreover, this Digital I/O Device enables the users to select power-on states for the data and control lines independently.
This device utilizes the RTSI bus or the PXI trigger bus for receiving and sending trigger and clock signals to and from other connected devices. Thus, the PCI DIO-32HS can also be utilized for the construction of synchronized systems with a massive number of digital input and output lines.
The PCI DIO-32HS operates using the NI-DAQ driver software which is compatible software packages/ application development environments (ADEs) like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, ComponentWorks, or VirtualBench. The device has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55° C.
