The PXIe4357 (Part Number: 782118-01) is a Temperature Input Module from National Instruments, which provides integrated data acquisition and signal conditioning for 2‑, 3‑, or 4‑wire RTD measurements with the help of the NI TB-4357. The NI TB-4357 is a front mount terminal block that provides screw terminal connectivity. The NI PXIe4357 can perform on both high-speed and high-resolution modes. This 20-channel module features five 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters. It can achieve measurement accuracies of 0.09 °C with antialiasing and low pass filters.

The NI PXIe-4357 RTD Input Module includes a built-in device driver software “NI-DAQmx”. It gives the flexibility of per channel software-programmable configurations.  It also automatically scales measured data into engineering units. The NI PXIe-4357 can optimize for PT100 RTDs by using signal conditioning circuitry.

The PXIe 4357 is flexible with a 2-wire measurement mode. It allows a basic 2-wire connection. This mode can be used for low accuracy applications. The 2-wire mode offset specifications include 10 m of 22 AWG copper lead wires. The PXIe-4357 RTD Module additionally supports a 3-wire measurement mode, which allows an improved accuracy over that of the 2-wire mode by efficiently canceling out the effects of lead-wire resistance. The resistance of the lead wire connected at both terminals must be the same. This mode provides a significant reduction of lead wire errors.
