REF620E Relion® 620 family of protection and control

Primary protection: The REF620E provides primary protection for overhead lines, cable feeders, and distribution bus systems.
Application: Suitable for the protection and control of grounded and ungrounded power distribution systems.
Configuration Support: Single circuit breaker, 1.5 circuit breaker, and double circuit breaker feeder configurations are supported.

Security option
Arc fault detection system: Provides a three-channel arc fault detection system for monitoring switchgear.
Control function: Integrated control function facilitates control of up to 2 circuit breakers through the relay’s front panel human Machine interface (HMI) or remote control system.
Communication and automation
IEC 61850 support: The REF620E truly supports the IEC 61850 standard and enables communication between equipment in the substation.
Protocol support: DNP3 and Modbus® are supported.
Time synchronization: Support for synchronization using SNTP over Ethernet or IRIG-B over a separate bus.
Pre-maintenance condition monitoring
Monitoring function: includes comprehensive monitoring function to monitor relay health, trip circuit and circuit breaker health.
