SCXI-1127

The SCXI 1127 operates using the NI-SWITCH driver software which supports application development environments (ADE) such as LabVIEW, Measurement Studio, Visual Basic, Microsoft C and C++. The device can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer tool.

The NI SCXI-1127 has a versatile scanning construction. The user can scan the channels arbitrarily and have several input modes in one scan, which helps when linking numerous sensor types to a single module. The SCXI-1127 has two scanning methods: software scanning and hardware-timed scanning. Software scanning allows channels to be chosen through the software. This process does not necessitate trigger connections. In addition, software scanning does not provide the time preciseness that hardware-timed scanning does. Hardware-timed scanning enables the measurement device, such as a DMM, to communicate through digital trigger signals to the NI SCXI-1127. There are also two types of hardware-timed scanning: synchronous scanning and handshaking. Synchronous scanning only needs a single signal from the device to the multiplexer, but handshaking necessitates another signal linked from the multiplexer to the device.
