The Modicon TSXCUSBMBP is a Modbus Plus and USB converter module manufactured by Schneider Electric for use on the Modicon Quantum Automation platform.  Designed to go from a Modbus Plus processor tap to connect to a USB port on a PC. The TSXCUSBMBP connection accessory uses either the 990NAD21110/30 or 990NAD21810/30 cable.

The operating system that is required for the Modicon TSXCUSBMBP is Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, SP4 or greater, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008. The hardware that supports the Schneider Electric TSXCUSBMBP is at least 256 BM RAM, and one free USB hub that has a free port available. It has to be able to support USB 1.1 or greater.

How to use the Schneider Electric TSXCUSBMBP

In order to use the accessory component TSXCUSBMBP, the Schneider Electric TSXCUSBMBP Driver software must be installed prior to use. Only after installing the Driver software, can you connect the Schneider Electric TSXCUSBMBP to the USB port. There is a CD included with the adaptor with the software necessary to use the TSXCUSBMBP. To install, insert the CD into the drive. The installation software automatically starts. Follow the set-up instruction on the screen to finish the installation. Instructions are in the final phase of installation.

The hardware for the Modicon TSXCUSBMBP connects directly to a USB port on the PC. The hardware can also connect directly through a USB hub. There is no need for a separate power connection as the TSXCUSBMBP converter module is powered by a USB port or hub.
