CompactFlash: The VMlCPcl-7806 includes a CompactFlashsocket on the assembly.The CompactFlash may be configuredas the boot device through the BlOs boot device set up. See theCompactFlash ordering options for the available sizes.
IDE Interface: The WMlCPCl-7806 provides an lDE interface forhard disk drive support. The lDE interface allows support ofseveral types of data transfers: Programmed l/O [PlO).8237 style DMA, Ultra ATA/33, Ultra ATA/66 and Ultra ATAV100.
NOTE: Ultra DMA IDE modes require a high performance80 conductor cable.
Ethernet Controller: The VMlCPCl-7806 provides a dualconnection for 10/100/1000BaseTX LAN using the Intel 82546EBEthernet controller. Two standard RJ45 connectors are providedon the front panel with two network status indicators. Both LANports supporting PlCMG 2.16. Rev 1.0 are also available via theCompactPcl backplane.
Serial ATA: The WMICPCl-7806 provides a serial ATA interface viathe CompactPcl backplane connector.
Remote Ethernet Booting: The VMlCPcl-7806 utilizes anExpansion ROM BlOS which enables processor booting from anetwork server. The facility supports PxE and a variety ofnetwork boot protocols including BOOTP and DHCP (TCP/IP).
